A color puzzle with one rule

Drop a ball. Shift the colors.

A ball you drop never matches the balls beside it. Instead it turns their colors along the wheel. Place it so that the shifted colors line up four of a kind — and watch the cascade keep going on its own.

The rule, right here

Now Next

Point at a column: its neighbors show the colors they will turn, the old one stays as a dot. Click to drop. On a touch screen, tap once to look and again to drop.

Here there are four colors and nothing rises from below. In the game a new row pushes up every few moves, and each level adds a color.

How it works

A ball recolors its neighbors

Colors sit on a wheel. A dropped ball turns every ball it touches — above, below, left and right — by as many steps as its own place on that wheel. It never matches them itself: the group you build is always one step aside.

You see the move before you make it

Press and slide along the field. While you hold, the neighbors already wear their new colors, with the old one left as a dot. Let go to drop — or the ball drops on its own when the ring around it runs out.

Four pop, and the pop shifts again

Four touching balls of one color burst. Each burst ball turns its surviving neighbors back by its own color, the rest fall, and if that lines up another four, the chain continues — with a bigger multiplier every step.

What keeps you busy

  • A row rises from below

Every few moves the whole field is pushed up by a new row of random balls. Keep the stacks low — the game ends when a rising row has nowhere to go.

  • One ball in reserve

Don't like the ball you got? Put it aside in the stash and take it back later, when it fits. The next ball in the queue is always visible.

  • The pearl ball

A rare pearl ball shifts nothing at all. It is not a gift: it joins groups like any color, but it is the one ball that cannot fix its neighbors.

  • A new color, a faster pace

Points bring new levels. Each one adds a color to the wheel or makes the rows rise more often, so the same rule keeps asking for a little more foresight.

In the box

One rule, no numbers

There is nothing to count on the screen. You only ever read colors, and the wheel is laid out so a shift reads as a pattern.
