All your lists are stored in your private iCloud and sync across your devices. The contents of your lists never leave your iCloud. The app does include an advertising and analytics SDK, which receives technical data about your device only — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what.

Tap the “+” button and type a name. Swipe right to mark an item as bought; swipe left to add a price and a photo. Swipe a completed item to bring it back to the active list.

Yes. When you mark a shopping item as bought, you can save its price. The Statistics tab shows spending by period (month / year / all time) and an estimate of what's left to buy.

When completing a purchase, choose a “Buy again” interval. The item moves to Bought and automatically returns to your active list when the reminder fires.

Tap the grouping icon in the “Active” header and choose “By category” or “By place”. Categories are guessed from item names; if one is wrong, touch and hold the item to pick the right aisle. Grouping by place uses the shops you saved when marking items bought with details.

More than fifty — every language the app is translated into and many more. Tap the microphone, say the list (“milk, bread, five apples and cheese”), then review the recognised items before adding them. You can correct the text by hand and keep dictating; it picks up where you left off.

ListAny is free and shows a few ad blocks in long lists after you have used it for a while. iOS asks the tracking question so that ads can be chosen to your interests. Say no and nothing breaks: you see the same number of ads, just less relevant ones. You can change the answer later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Make sure you are signed in to iCloud on the device and have a network connection, then open the link again. If the app says it could not open the shared list, ask the owner to send the invitation once more from the sharing screen.
