Data storage and sync

Your lists, items, prices, photos, and related data are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account (Apple CloudKit), and sync across your own devices through iCloud. We, the developer, have no access to this data. It is never sent to our servers or to any third-party servers.

Shared lists. If you choose to share a list, iCloud gives the people you invite access to that one list, so they can see and change it on their own devices. The invitation is handled by Apple, sharing is limited to the list you picked, and nothing is made public. We still have no access to it. You can stop sharing, or remove a participant, at any time from the sharing screen in the app. You can also send a list as a one-off copy instead, which creates an independent list that never syncs back to you.

We do not collect your personal data

ListAny does not require an account or registration, and we never ask you for your name, phone number, or email address. The contents of your lists — including items, prices, notes, photos, linked contacts, and locations — are never collected by us, never shared, and never sold.

The app and this website do use the analytics and advertising services named below. Those services process limited technical and usage information — never the contents of your lists — and each of them is listed by name so you know exactly who receives what.

Voice input

When you add items by voice, the app records audio only while the dictation screen is open, and uses Apple's speech recognition to turn it into text. Dictation works in more than fifty languages. Where iOS offers an on-device model for your language, the app asks the system to download it once from Apple and recognition then happens entirely on your iPhone; otherwise iOS sends the audio to Apple for processing under Apple's own privacy policy. We never receive the recording, and the app does not keep it — only the text you confirm on the review screen becomes items in your list.

On devices with on-device Apple Intelligence, the app may also use the model built into iOS to split what you said into separate items and to suggest an emoji. That processing happens on your device.

Advertising in the app

ListAny is free, and it is supported by advertising. Once you have been using the app for a while, short ad blocks may appear between the items of a long list. They are delivered by the Yandex Advertising Network through the Yandex Mobile Ads SDK built into the app.

To select, show and measure ads, the ad network processes technical information from your device:

• Identifiers — an app-scoped device identifier (IDFV) and, only if you allow tracking, the advertising identifier (IDFA).
• Device and app details — device model, operating system version, app version, language and region, network type.
• Approximate location derived from your IP address. The app does not hand your precise location to the ad network.
• Ad interactions — which ads were shown, viewed or tapped.

• Personalised ads require your consent. Before the first ad is loaded, iOS asks for permission through App Tracking Transparency. If you decline, you see the same number of ads — they are just chosen without the advertising identifier and are less relevant.
• You can change your mind at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and limit ad personalisation in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
• Your content is never shared with advertisers. Lists, items, prices, photos, contacts and saved places are not passed to the ad network.
• The ad network handles its own data. Yandex acts as an independent controller of the information it collects and processes it under its own privacy policy.

Analytics and crash reports

To understand how ListAny is used and to fix problems, the app and this website use analytics services. We see this information only in aggregated, pseudonymous form; it never includes the contents of your lists.

• In the app — AppMetrica (Yandex). This service arrives together with the advertising SDK and reports technical and usage data: device model, operating system and app version, language and region, approximate location derived from your IP address, which features are used, and crash and performance reports. It uses the same identifiers as the ad network, so the advertising identifier is included only if you have allowed tracking. AppMetrica's own privacy policy applies to the data it holds.
• On this website — Yandex Metrica. Pages visited, referring page, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and cookies or similar identifiers. Yandex Metrica may also record anonymised session activity (Webvisor) to help improve the site.

Third-party services at a glance

No other third party receives data from the app. We do not sell data to anyone.

Cookies on this website

This website uses cookies only for the analytics described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use the opt-out tools provided by the analytics service, without losing access to any part of the site.

Permissions the app may request

• Camera — to take photos of items you add to your lists.
• Contacts — to link a contact to a to-do item so you remember who to reach.
• Location — to optionally save where you bought an item, so the app can group your shopping list by shop and suggest where several items can be bought in one trip. Saved places live in your iCloud with the rest of your list data; they are not given to the ad or analytics services.
• Microphone — to record what you say when you add items by voice.
• Speech recognition — to turn that recording into the text of your list.
• Notifications — to show local reminders you set (such as “buy again”).
• Tracking — only to allow personalised advertising, as described above.

All permissions are optional and used only when you choose the related feature. You can grant or revoke each one in iOS Settings. Any data you provide (photos, linked contacts, locations) is stored with your list data in your iCloud — not collected by us.

Your control over your data

You can edit or delete any item or list at any time. Deleting the app removes its local data; data in iCloud is managed by your Apple ID and can be removed in iOS Settings → iCloud, or by deleting items in the app. You can also decline or withdraw tracking consent, reset your advertising identifier, and clear cookies for this website whenever you like. To have Yandex delete the technical data it holds about your device, contact them under their privacy policy or write to us and we will pass the request on.

Children

ListAny is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
