Solved

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 10 July 2026

Solved (“Solved”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a personal and team knowledge app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Solved is private by design: the app runs its intelligence entirely on your device, and we do not operate analytics, advertising, or content servers. This policy explains what that means for your data.

In short

1. Who we are

Solved is provided by Nikita Anatolyevich Letov (Individual Entrepreneur). For any privacy question, contact us at mailnikitian@gmail.com.

2. On-device processing

Solved uses Apple’s on-device technologies to turn what you capture into an organized memory — speech transcription, image text recognition (OCR), document text extraction, language understanding, embeddings, and translation. All of this runs locally on your device. Your content is not uploaded to us, and it is not sent to any server for artificial-intelligence processing.

3. Information we do not collect

4. Information stored on your device

Your knowledge base — text, problems and solutions, and attachments (photos, PDFs, audio) — plus your app settings are stored locally on your device. If you connect a Git repository, the repository URL and any access token you enter are also stored locally on your device and used only to connect to the repository you specify. Treat that token like a password.

5. Optional synchronization (services you control)

Solved works fully offline. If you turn on synchronization, your data goes only to the destination you select:

iCloud (personal). If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud database, managed by Apple under your Apple ID and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to it.

Git (team) — Solved Pro. If you connect a Git repository (for example GitHub, GitLab, or a self-hosted server), Solved stores events and attachments in that repository so your team can share a knowledge base. That repository and its provider are controlled by you or your organization and are governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy. Author names you configure are stored with the data for attribution. We do not operate or access the repository.

6. Device permissions

Solved asks for permissions only to capture what you choose, and it uses them on device:

You can grant or revoke these at any time in your system Settings.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Solved Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple’s App Store. Purchases, billing, and payment information are handled entirely by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment data. Your subscription status is verified on your device through the App Store (StoreKit). Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

8. Sharing content into Solved

When you share content into Solved (via the iOS Share extension) or drag files onto the app (on Mac), that content is handed to Solved and processed on your device as a search or a new entry. It is stored only where you choose — locally, in iCloud, or in your Git repository.

9. Children

Solved is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your rights and choices

Because your data lives on your device — and in any synchronization destination you chose — you control it directly. In the app you can view, edit, export (as a .solvedarchive file), or delete your data at any time; deleting the app removes its local data. For data in iCloud or a Git repository, manage it through Apple or your Git provider.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because we do not hold your data on our servers, these rights are exercised directly on your device or through the provider you selected. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. Contact us at mailnikitian@gmail.com with any request or question.

11. Data retention and deletion

We do not retain your content, because we never receive it. Data on your device persists until you delete it or remove the app. Data in iCloud or a Git repository is retained according to those services until you delete it there.

12. Security

Your data stays on your device and benefits from system-level protections such as your device passcode and encryption. The security of synchronized data depends on Apple (iCloud) and your Git provider — always use an https:// repository URL with a personal access token, and keep that token confidential.

13. International users

Solved has no servers of its own, so we do not transfer your data across borders. Any transfer that occurs through iCloud or your chosen Git provider is governed by that provider.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, for material changes, note them in the app or on this page.
